FAQs
About Our Products
We choose tallow because it's a simple, time-honored ingredient that aligns with the way we live, practical, effective, and rooted in tradition. It's something I feel confident using on my own family every day.
No. Our tallow is never bleached or deodorized. We believe in keeping ingredients as close to their natural state as possible, without altering them to meet mass-produced standards.
Our tallow has a very mild, natural scent. Because it's not deodorized, you may notice a light smell, but many customers find it subtle and pleasant. We also offer lightly scented options using essential oils.
Our products are made with simple, intentional ingredients and are designed to be gentle. That said, every person's skin is different, so we always recommend testing a small area first.
We keep our ingredients simple, intentional, and purposeful. Our products are made with beef tallow (specifically suet, which is considered the highest quality fat from cattle), paired with organic jojoba oil and high-quality essential oils for scent. We choose suet because it creates a clean, stable, and nourishing tallow, something I feel confident using on my own family. We include organic jojoba oil because it closely resembles the skin's natural oils, helping to support absorption without feeling heavy or greasy. For scent, we use carefully selected essential oils to create a light, natural fragrance, never overpowering, and always with intention. Every ingredient we use has a purpose, and nothing is added just for filler.
We believe less is more. Our approach is rooted in using ingredients in their natural form whenever possible, rather than altering them to fit a uniform standard.
Product Use
A little goes a long way. Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and allow it to absorb. It can be used on hands, face, or anywhere needing extra moisture.
Use the sugar scrub on damp skin to gently exfoliate and remove buildup. Rinse off and follow with whipped tallow for best results.
Because our products are made in small batches and not heavily processed, slight variations in texture can happen. This is completely normal and does not affect quality.
Farm & Values
All products are made in small batches right here on our farm in South Dakota.
This business started with a desire to use clean, trustworthy ingredients for my own family. Everything we create reflects a life rooted in faith, agriculture, and stewardship, keeping things simple, honest, and intentional.
Our products are made in small batches, right here on our farm, using carefully selected ingredients like high-quality suet tallow and organic jojoba oil. We choose not to bleach, deodorize, or heavily process our ingredients to cut costs or create uniformity. Many lower-priced products are mass-produced, often using more processed ingredients and methods designed for speed, consistency, and shelf appeal. For us, this isn't about producing the most product as quickly as possible, it's about creating something we feel confident using on our own family. You're not just purchasing a product, you're supporting a slower, more intentional way of making things, rooted in quality, transparency, and care.
Orders & Care
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Because our products are natural, temperature changes can affect texture.
Yes, tallow is sensitive to heat and may soften or melt in warmer temperatures. This does not impact the quality. If melting occurs, simply allow it to return to room temperature.
Our products are best used within 9-12 months. Keeping them sealed and stored properly will help maintain freshness.
